About Me

I have always had a passion for baking.  My love for baking shone through when I started decorating cakes for my grandchildren. This led to orders from family and friends.

With encouragement from my family, I decided to turn my passion into my profession, gaining qualifications in City and Guilds Design and Craft, Sugar Decoration, Sugar Modelling and also the ABC Level 2 in Cake Decoration.

Today I run Cakes by Verna from my home in Romford, Essex; where I continue to follow my dream to design and create beautiful cakes.
